Two Accredited Exercise Physiologists ready to help you move forward. Evidence-based care, honest conversations, and programs that meet people where they are.
Zak grew up in the circus. That unique background gave him an unmatched understanding of movement, body control, and what the human body is truly capable of.
He completed his Exercise & Sports Science degree and became an Accredited Exercise Physiologist to put that knowledge to work for real people. Not just athletes. Everyone.
"Movement is the most human thing we do. When you can't move freely, everything else suffers."
Isabelle has lived experience with chronic illness, which means she doesn't just understand your challenges from a textbook. She's been there.
She asks about your life, not just your diagnosis. Clients often describe leaving their first appointment feeling genuinely understood for the first time.
"I became an Exercise Physiologist because I wish I'd had one. Someone who understood the bad days, but still helped me move forward."
Evidence is the foundation, but you are not a study. Every recommendation starts with who you are.
We don't promise miracles. We promise consistent, supported effort and the real results that come from it.
Our first job is to make sure you feel physically and emotionally safe in our care.
Your initial consultation is just a conversation. No pressure. No commitment.
Two Accredited Exercise Physiologists who know exactly what it feels like to need this kind of care, long before they ever provided it.
Before Rise Rehab Group had a name, it was two separate stories moving toward the same question: what would care look like if people felt truly seen, understood, and capable?
Isabelle grew up in competitive sport, swimming and running beach flags before her body ever became something she had to explain. She now lives with lupus, cystic fibrosis, type 1 diabetes and endometriosis, and received a kidney transplant at 21. Through all of it, movement has remained part of how she stays connected to herself. She knows what it feels like to be treated like a diagnosis instead of a whole person. She became an Exercise Physiologist because she wished she had someone like that beside her.
Someone who understood the hard days, still helped her move forward, and saw capability where others saw limitation.
Zak grew up performing in the circus, where movement was more than exercise. It was trust, timing, courage, and learning what your body could do before your mind fully believed it. That shaped the way he sees rehab today: confidence is not something people arrive with. It is something good care helps them build.
Confidence does not come first. It grows through small wins, repeated often enough to believe in them.
Between them, they kept meeting the same person in different bodies. People who wanted to move, get stronger, manage a health condition, or feel safe in their own body again, but had been rushed through care, felt out of place in gyms, or lost trust in what their body could do.
So they set out to build something different. Exercise physiology grounded in evidence, but delivered with the time, care, and humanity people often feel is missing. A place safe enough to be honest, personal enough to fit real life, and hopeful enough to make the first step feel possible.
Rise Rehab Group was never meant to be another name on a list. It was built for people who want to feel safe in their body again, move with more trust, and leave with a plan they can carry into life.
For Zak, that means helping people rebuild confidence after fear, pain, or care that left them feeling let down.
For Izzy, it means becoming the person she once needed through her own chronic illness.
However hesitant you feel walking in, that is exactly where we meet you. And that is where you rise from.
If any part of this story sounds familiar, we'd love to meet you too. Your first conversation is just that: a conversation. No pressure, no commitment.
The first step should be about feeling hopeful, not anxious.
Your first session is really just a conversation. We want to understand you, not just your condition or injury, but your life, your goals, and what's brought you to this point. Nothing to prepare. Just come as you are.
We move into a functional assessment and establish your goals together, short term and long term. This is collaborative. You're not a passive participant in your own health.
We design a program that fits your life, your schedule, your environment, your body, and your current capacity. Clear, practical, and fully explained. No jargon.
We reassess every 6 to 8 weeks and adjust as needed. Progress is tracked, celebrated, and used to keep things moving forward.
The end goal is that you need us less, not more. We build your knowledge, confidence, and capacity so exercise becomes a sustainable, self-directed part of your life.
