For The Ones Living With A Diagnosis

What if being capable
and having a health condition
aren't opposites?

You are not the sum of your test results. How you respond to what life put in front of you is what actually defines you.

Every time our co-founder Isabelle tells someone she's had a kidney transplant, they ask how long the surgery was. Almost nobody asks what it actually felt like, not knowing if she'd get a normal life back. That gap between the two questions is the entire reason Rise Rehab Group exists.

She Has Lived This

Isabelle was born with cystic fibrosis, diagnosed with lupus at 12, lives with type 1 diabetes, and received a kidney transplant at 21. She was a competitive swimmer and surf lifesaver long before any of that became something she had to explain to other people. Through all of it, movement stayed the one thing that reminded her who she was.

“For me it came down to two choices: keep going and build a healthy life, or let it stop me. I chose to keep going.”

The Gap Nobody Filled

After her transplant, nobody told Isabelle how to safely get her life back. How to return to the gym, to sport, to normal daily tasks. She had to work it out completely alone. That exact gap is why she studied a Master's in Clinical Exercise Physiology, and it's the exact reason she and Zak built Rise Rehab Group: so nobody else has to go through what she went through, alone.

Not a generic plan and hope for the best. Meeting you exactly where you're at.

Medical Complexity Is Our Specialty, Not Our Exception

You don't need to be further along in your recovery before you come see us. You don't need to have it all figured out, or have fully accepted the diagnosis, or feel ready. University-trained Exercise Physiologists work with exactly this kind of complexity as a matter of course, alongside your GP and specialists, not instead of them.

It Doesn't Define You

Whatever your diagnosis is, it makes you who you are. It doesn't get to define you in a bad way. How you respond to it does. That's not a slogan we picked for marketing. It's the actual belief this entire clinic was built on.

Let's talk about your situation.

A free 15-minute call with Zak or Isabelle, no clinical pressure, just an honest conversation about what you're dealing with. Funded through DVA and NDIS, covered in part by Medicare with a GP referral, or private with no referral needed.
